Gentle Closing
Dear friends...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
Dear friends,
We have decided after much thought to bring our work with Celtic Tantra to a gentle close. We have loved working with you all, following the wheel of the year, pausing at the magical Celtic gateways, learning from each one of you and from the natural places we have held these gatherings. From Hazel Hill Wood, from Wild Ways, from Nab Cottage, from the Hillyfield Woodland and from Worthybridge Barn. All these places have taught us something and deepened our journey around the year.
But it is time to step away from leading and to simply become followers. We will soon be moving from Meadow Cottage – a place which has also taught us a lot about living with and listening to nature – to a new home in mid-Wales. It feels like a good time to dissolve the form of Celtic Tantra, and all that has been beautiful and tender and exciting in that form. We will still follow the year ourselves and may even gather with other people to do this, but we will no longer be organizing workshops.
We would like to thank all of you for your presence on those workshops. But a very special thank you to our dear friend and musical magician Philip Milburn for accompanying us on this journey. Your music has been a joy and an inspiration.
Our final workshop will be Lammas, a time of thanksgiving, and a chance to name and celebrate the blessings of the year and of this work. For this we will return to WildWays in Shropshire one last time. We hope as many of you as possible with join us there.
We would like to find a way to write about this work, charting our journey over the years we have been teaching, and through the round of the seasons. We will welcome any input from all of you about your experiences of the Celtic Tantra celebrations. Please get in touch with us if you would like to contribute.
Until we meet again…go well.
With love,
Robert & Marta
